The Nationale Loterij celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2024 and is more connected than ever with the Belgians!

With a turnover of 1.533 billion euros, the Nationale Loterij has achieved sustainable and responsible growth averaging 2.7% per year since 2014. This growth rate proves that the Nationale Loterij opts for sustainable growth within a gaming market that is still expanding strongly. As a reminder: the Nationale Loterij accounts for only 4% of the total turnover of the gaming sector.

And yet, the Nationale Loterij has never been so close to the Belgians. For the first time in the history of the Nationale Loterij, 318.9 million game moments were registered in 2024. This demonstrates the enthusiasm of the Belgians for “their” lottery.

True to its DNA and mission, the Nationale Loterij has never supported as many good causes or initiatives as in 2024. This support went to social, cultural, and sports projects throughout Belgium. In total, we supported 1,884 projects, confirming our essential role in society.

Even in our evolving digital society, Belgians feel more connected than ever with the Nationale Loterij. The Nationale Loterij app has been downloaded more than 2.46 million times in total.

The Nationale Loterij always prioritizes providing a responsible and transparent gaming environment. 99% of our players did not reach any of the imposed limits (deposit limit, loss, number of games, …) in the past year.

Thanks to its players, the Nationale Loterij has already returned 345 million euros to Belgian society in 2024. As every year, the total amount of support that the Nationale Loterij has provided to good causes and other initiatives will be announced later this year.

To organize the corporate & digital communications of the Nationale Loterij more efficiently, we are looking for a temporary senior project manager Corporate & Digital Communication (intranet – extranet – internet – social media) with hands-on experience in optimizing the impact of external and internal communication, with the goal of maximizing the brand and reputation of the Nationale Loterij:

ROLE

  • Overall project leadership
  • Further refining and developing the needs together with management to establish an efficient communications service that succeeds in maximally supporting the company’s reputation (externally and internally)
  • Steering multiple workstreams in parallel:
  • Further shaping the corporate & digital communications approach in close collaboration with other internal stakeholders at the Nationale Loterij
  • Developing the corporate communications plan for the various channels such as (specialized) press; the digital communication channels of our partners; website; internal and external screens; social media; emailing; …
  • Setting up a newsroom for the development of content and appropriate communication tools tailored to the target audiences (stories, images, video, podcasts, …)
  • Preparing specifications and guiding the public procurement process for the tendering of a framework contract for the creation of modern audiovisual content
  • Creating, issuing, and/or publishing the various magazines such as the annual report, brochures, … including coordination with content development
  • Co-creating and validating in-app communication (social media)
  • (De)briefing colleagues, stakeholders
  • Setting up a process/governance for supporting spokespeople in their communication approach
  • Coordination and follow-up of the technical teams (website; intranet; social media, …)

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Experience in project management, strong relational skills, networking, stakeholder management, expert in optimizing a professional, modern, and efficient communications apparatus, generalist in setting up digital communication channels, SEO, intranet, extranet, communication via screens, in-app communication …
