ABOUT THE POSITION

The position is responsible for managing, leading, and executing projects within its own activity domain, in line with the established priorities and objectives, with the aim of optimally guiding and realizing changes and innovations within the organization.

Areas of responsibility:

• Planning, leading, organizing, and monitoring projects with the aim of realizing them efficiently and with quality within the set objectives of time, budget, and regulations.
• Developing project plans, being responsible for setting up the necessary studies, technical analyses, and concepts.
• Drawing up the project schedule and monitoring progress to realize projects efficiently.
• Leading the execution, delivery, and commissioning of installations/infrastructure/solutions/realizations, with a focus on timely delivery and quality.
• Coordinating activities within projects, determining the required competencies of the project team, and directing and supporting the internal and/or external project members with the aim of executing projects (cost-)efficiently and in a quality manner.
• Motivating and supporting the project team, as well as drafting and adjusting the project planning.
• Coordinating the activities of the team members and ensuring that tasks are carried out correctly and safely.
• Consulting with stakeholders as well as detecting risks and/or problems during the various project phases and directing the solution.
• Developing and maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders, acting as point of contact, and reporting on the progress and results of the projects with the aim of optimizing collaboration and promoting acceptance.
• Communicating about progress, planning, financial framework, results, etc.
• Aligning with PMO.
• Escalating issues.
• Being responsible for compiling and keeping up-to-date the project files, including documentation and the associated administrative and procedural follow-up, with the aim of having a complete and correct set of inventories, diagrams, procedures, safeguarding the information, and complying with applicable legislation and regulations.
• Ensuring the development and maintenance of procedures and instructions for systems and/or installations.
• Ensuring proper implementation and compliance with processes through training and appropriate documentation.
• Being responsible for drafting and following up on regulatory provisions (permit documents, technical and safety specifications, etc.).
• Providing, developing, and/or inventorying proposals to optimize infrastructure or applications with the aim of ensuring the organization has optimal equipment and functioning resources.
• Determining together with the experts what the best available technology is that should be applied.
• Ensuring that the inputs of the various experts are challenged and consolidated so that the whole is safe, qualitative, and cost-efficient.
• When introducing new techniques/technology, ensuring that these are well embedded in the organization.
• Acting as the leading official in the context of public procurement with the aim of ensuring that the final realization meets the needs.
• Applying legislation regarding public procurement.
• Content responsibility for contracts with contractors and/or suppliers.
• Monitoring contractors/suppliers and holding them accountable for contractual agreements.
• Embedding change management in the projects with the aim of ensuring that the change caused by the project is supported and embraced within the organization.
• Performing stakeholder communication to clarify what the change is and what the impact is. This applies both to steering groups and to users.
• Communicating to the organization what will change and ensuring that the solution is supported and embraced.
