You will join the Construction Projects department of the Facility Company, with the Herman Teirlinck building as the headquarters on the Thurn & Taxis site in Brussels. The Construction Projects department manages and coordinates construction projects from design to completion for the Flemish government, both for departments, internally autonomous agencies and externally autonomous agencies.

The Construction Projects department consists of about 90 employees in 4 teams, supported by several internal consultants and experts in specific fields.

As project manager, you will join the Study & Coordination Construction Projects team. The team consists of approximately 36 project leaders and assistant project leaders who, through 3 groups of about 10 colleagues each, work on a partial portfolio of projects. You will start within the group responsible for large (re)housing projects and interior projects within our offices.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
As project manager within Het Facilitair Bedrijf, you are responsible for coordinating the construction projects of internal clients within the Flemish government. We are specifically looking for project leaders who will work on our office projects.

In close consultation with our client and subject matter experts, you draw up a program of requirements, estimate the project, and set up a schedule. In the next phase, you will develop the quality and/or performance specifications with which we can approach the market. During the study and execution phase, you coordinate the design team and the various contractors and suppliers executing the project. Together with your project team members, you conduct bilateral discussions with the end users of the building, and in the development of the layout, you coordinate the various managers for layout, furniture, technical installations, relocation, and facilities.

As project manager, you are the point of contact for the project and handle project management. Throughout the various phases of the construction project, you continuously monitor the schedule, budget, scope, quality, risks, and project objectives, and are responsible for communication to the involved parties and working groups, reporting to the steering committee.

You will be involved in, among others, the following challenging relocation projects:

• Herman Teirlinck building and Conscience building in Brussels
• Flemish Administrative Center Antwerp
• Etc.

• Participation in challenging relocation projects, including the Herman Teirlinck building, the Conscience building, and the Flemish Administrative Center Antwerp

Practical information:

• The rate can be indexed annually according to the contract's price revision clause
• The contract can be extended after a positive evaluation
• There is no mileage allowance; the cost of necessary travel is included in the offered rate. Free parking is available in the Herman Teirlinck building if desired.
