You will join the Construction Projects department of the Facilitair Bedrijf, with the Herman Teirlinck building as the headquarters on the Thurn & Taxis site, Brussels. The Construction Projects department manages and coordinates construction projects from design to completion for the Flemish government, both for departments, Internal Autonomous Agencies, and External Autonomous Agencies.

The Construction Projects department comprises around 90 employees in 4 teams, supported by several internal consultants and experts in specific fields.

As a project manager, you will join the team Study & Coordination Construction Projects. The team consists of approximately 36 project leaders and managers for techniques, furnishing, furniture, and relocation, who work in three groups of around 10 colleagues each, each group managing a portfolio of projects. You will start within the group responsible for the major (re)housing projects and interior projects within our offices.

ABOUT THE POSITION
As a project manager within Het Facilitair Bedrijf, you are responsible for coordinating the construction projects of internal clients within the Flemish government. We are specifically looking for project leaders who will work on our office projects.

In close consultation with our client and with subject matter experts, you develop a program of requirements, estimate the project, and draw up a schedule. In a next phase, you are responsible for developing the quality and/or performance requirements with which we can approach the market. During the study and execution phase, you coordinate the design team and the various contractors and suppliers who carry out the project. Together with your project team members, you conduct bilateral discussions with the end users of the building, and in developing the layout, you coordinate the various managers for furnishing, furniture, techniques, relocation, and facilities.

As a project manager, you are the main point of contact for the project and handle the project management. During the various phases of the construction project, you continuously monitor the schedule, budget, scope, quality, risks, and project objectives, communicate with the involved parties and working groups, and report to the steering committee.

You will be involved in, among others, the following challenging relocation projects:

• Herman Teirlinck building and Conscience building in Brussels
• Flemish Administrative Centre Antwerp
• Etc.

• Reporting to steering committees and communicating with all involved parties and working groups
• Contributing to challenging relocation projects such as the Herman Teirlinck building, the Conscience building, and the Flemish Administrative Centre Antwerp

Practical information:

• The rate can be indexed annually according to the price revision clause in the contract
• The contract can be extended after a positive evaluation
• There is no mileage allowance, the cost of necessary travel is included in the offered rate. Free parking is available at the Herman Teirlinck building if desired.
