Project Manager/Financial Expert (Contractor) – Implementation Plan Financial Processes Context

Fiola vzw is a care organization active in the VAPH sector, with more than 250 employees and a broad range of services for people with disabilities. The organization strives for a future-oriented, transparent, and project-based financial operation.

Context:

A thorough preliminary process was recently carried out to optimize financial processes. This resulted in a widely supported implementation plan that includes, among other things, restructuring the accounting, rolling out a new reporting structure, and strengthening management reporting and dashboards.

Assignment:

We are looking for an experienced consultant who will monitor and coordinate the implementation plan as a contractor. You are the central figure who maintains oversight, monitors progress, and provides substantive direction. The technical execution, such as modifying Exact Online or building PowerBI dashboards, is carried out by other partners or contractors.

The assignment has a flexible interpretation regarding the number of days per week. We estimate the total project to be 15 man-days.

Task package:

  • Coordinating and monitoring the implementation plan for the optimization of financial processes.
  • Organizing and facilitating workshops with internal teams and external partners.
  • Managing and following up on subprojects (reporting, accounting structure, dashboards).
  • Monitoring progress, planning, budget, and quality of the implementation.
  • Acting as a substantive point of contact for financial processes and reporting.
  • Reporting to the management team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifying risks and bottlenecks and proactively proposing solutions.

Profile & Criteria:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a project manager or consultant in financial process optimization, preferably in the non-profit or care sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of Exact Online and experience with optimizing financial processes.
  • Insight into the VAPH sector and knowledge of specific regulations and subsidy flows.
  • Experience with organizing and guiding workshops and change processes.
  • Demonstrable experience with setting up financial dashboards and management reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect various stakeholders.
  • Independent, result-oriented, and analytically minded.

Practicalities:

  • The assignment is extendable after a positive evaluation.
  • Location: combination of working at the headquarters in Wetteren and remote, by arrangement.
  • We expect an all-inclusive rate with mileage allowance included.
