For the FOCUS – Towings program, the Antwerp police zone is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to help build a scalable and high-performance platform within a socially relevant context.

The FOCUS platform supports the administrative and operational processing of towings (towing assignments, case file building, follow-up, reporting, and integrations with internal and external systems). The system is business-critical and is developed according to modern engineering principles within an Agile workflow.

We are not looking for a “ticket developer,” but rather a senior engineer who takes ownership, safeguards quality, and adds technical maturity to the team.

In your role:

• You develop backend services in Node.js (TypeScript-first)
• You build high-performance and maintainable frontends in React
• You work with PostgreSQL in a production environment
• You contribute to discussions on architecture, scalability, and security
• You implement test automation and safeguard code quality
• You work within an Agile/Scrum team
• You actively contribute to improvements in the way-of-working
• You coach fellow developers where necessary

You will have real impact on technical choices and development standards within the platform.

• Demonstrable experience in the development of web-based applications
• Demonstrable experience in leading a development team and coaching developers
• Demonstrable experience in efficiently executing programming tasks: coding, testing, and debugging
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology, with the ability to take a leading role
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2

Context/Requirements

Are you aware of the maximum rate stipulated for these profiles (see Price Agreements tab)?

The duration of the assignment can be extended by mutual agreement in periods of 12 months, within the limits of the framework agreement of the Facilitair Bedrijf.

Price adjustments are not permitted, with the exception of indexation during the assignment, which is allowed after each period of 12 consecutive months.

Termination by the service provider: the contractor may terminate the agreement at any time by registered letter and with one (1) month’s notice.

Termination by AG Digipolis Antwerpen: AG Digipolis Antwerpen may terminate the agreement at any time by registered letter and with one (1) month’s notice.
