JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is responsible for the monitoring, planning, and adjustment of projects/sites concerning construction, maintenance, and multidisciplinary projects in order to support the contractors, the leading official, or the project manager to deliver these projects/sites in a qualitative manner and in accordance with legal regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Acting as the point of contact for contractors on site and ensuring effective information flow between the various parties (internal and external) with the aim of proactively detecting conflicts (planning, quality, location, etc.) and proposing solutions.
• Chairing contractor meetings and providing input during site meetings.
• Escalating problems when necessary.
• Advising on issues and involving the necessary and appropriate parties to make decisions.
• Contributing to the safety policy by ensuring compliance with the safety regulations (including site regulations and KB TMB), participating in prevention policy, as well as compiling and/or creating all necessary information to safeguard safety within the projects/sites in accordance with applicable guidelines and legal obligations.
• Detecting improvements and applying lessons learned to ensure continuous optimization of activities on existing and new sites.
• Staying informed about legislation and keeping knowledge up to date regarding relevant safety standards, guidelines, and new developments (within your own area of expertise) to have the most current insights and information.

Specific job requirements:

• Developing, preparing, and updating safety, health, and prevention plans and ensuring their correct application and compliance in order to guarantee the safety of all parties involved on the construction sites and to contribute to the development of the safety culture both during the design phase and during execution.
• Preparing and updating the safety and health plan (design and execution).
• Preparing and supplementing the post-intervention file.
• Ensuring legal compliance with the KB Temporary and Mobile construction sites as safety coordinator for sites requiring safety coordination.
• Collecting site data and preparing and maintaining the coordination logbook, organizing coordination meetings with all involved parties.
• Investigating and identifying occupational risks on the construction sites and establishing corrective measures in order to improve safety on temporary or mobile construction sites and bring it in line with applicable regulations.
• Monitoring the correct implementation and compliance with site safety regulations concerning the construction sites in order to prevent accidents and damage and to promote a healthy and safe working environment, by analyzing and evaluating co-activities and consecutive activities, as well as site-specific risks.
• Identifying critical phases for the respective sites and updating and improving existing processes and procedures related to safe operation in order to define risks and undertake preventive actions.
