Job Description – SAP FS-RI Technical Application Expert MEDIOR – Re-Insurance

Objective Function:

• Responsible for the creation of the technical specifications for any add-on, user exit, modification, enhancement, interface, workflow, extension service, program or ABAP report (based on the functional solution designed provided by the functional consultants) in FS-RI required by any of the functional project streams.

• Responsible for implementing the technical specifications in the SAP FS-RI of Credendo.

• Responsible for unit testing the implemented solutions prior to the handover of the deliverables to the functional consultants.

• Responsible for resolving any defects related to the technical solutions designed and implemented.

• Liaise and align with the functional consultants of the various SAP project streams whenever required.

• Reports to the respective functional consultant from whom the functional solution design (functional specification) has been received.

• Reports to Project Manager.

Tasks

• Gets an in-depth understanding of the business needs by reading the documentation and participating in the requirements gathering workshops when necessary.

• Conducts a Fit-Gap analysis in order to determine to which extent the needs can be covered by the SAP FS-RI module, and documents the conclusion of this analysis in detail.

• Proposes a solution for the ‘Gaps’: custom development or a ‘Work around’ solution, including their technical documentation.

• Elaborates the detailed technical documentation for the implementation of SAP FS-RI in order to cover the business needs, in a format recommended for SAP implementation projects.

• Delivers input to the Solution Architecture Document.

• Executes the SAP FS-RI implementation:

• Configures the solution

• Performs specific developments when needed

• Keeps documentation up to date

• Writes test cases

• Prepares and coordinates UAT

• Prepares and conducts the integration tests, with the concerned project teams

• Participates in the Defect resolution process.

Skills

• Good knowledge of common practices in the Reinsurance Business.

• Functional Expertise in SAP FS-RI and associated modules.

• Technical Expertise in SAP FS-RI and associated modules.

• Knowledge of SAP Insurance Modules.

• Clear communication skills to discuss with Business and IT Experts.

• Fluent in English, written and spoken. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset.

• Familiar with the common SAP templates for technical documentation.

• Familiarity with the common SAP Modules (SAP FS-PM, SAP FS-CM, SAP FS-ICM, SAP FS-CD) is an asset.

• Familiar with MS Office.

• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
