A security architect designs, builds, and manages an organization’s security infrastructure to protect digital assets against cyber threats. He/she identifies security risks, develops strategies to mitigate them, and integrates security measures into the IT environment while ensuring compliance with laws and standards. The role requires technical expertise in networking and security technology, combined with strategic thinking and strong communication skills.

General tasks and responsibilities:

• Defining and contributing to the implementation of the cybersecurity strategy is the main task of the cybersecurity architect within the Security Team
• Determining, elaborating, and following up on the digital security architecture
• Monitoring an adequate and risk-based application of the architecture principles of our FOD
• Leading or participating in determining, elaborating, and potentially executing the digital security roadmap
• Leading or participating in the further development of the security operations that need to provide prevention, detection, processing, prediction, and handling of security-related incidents
• Leading or participating in increasing the maturity of security management in which the capabilities need to be strengthened in line with the strategy
• Collaborating on the security and privacy by design of the various ICT & business initiatives
• Contributing to the introduction of best security practices in software development
