Agile QA Engineer

The Digital Products department at VRT is looking for an Agile QA engineer to strengthen the Digital Products teams.

The Digital Products department is where digital products take shape. In close collaboration with the various brands (VRT Eén, VRT Canvas, Ketnet, Sporza, VRT NWS, VRT MAX, and our five radio brands), we develop new products; from websites to social media campaigns and mobile apps.

You will join an extremely dynamic environment where you will be jointly responsible for realizing a well-developed digital offering that reaches a large and broad audience every day. Leveraging your expertise, you will help build a high-quality digital portfolio for VRT, in a context that is constantly evolving.

You have demonstrable experience with automated testing. Specifically with end-to-end testing by setting up automated tests using industry best practices. You possess a solid technical programming foundation and can readily work with tools: Cypress, Playwright...

You already have experience setting up a project in a green field environment and integrating it into existing CI/CD processes.

What will you do with us?

• You are a member of a cross-functional agile team that aims to build a flawless media experience, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products and safeguarding quality standards.
• Together with your colleagues, you build end-to-end new apps, digital campaigns, mini-sites…
• You don't limit yourself to your own area, but ensure you contribute maximally to the success of the entire team.
• You also actively help to monitor and qualitatively improve the existing products so that we can always deliver the highest quality to our users.
• Designing and implementing automated test scenarios and plans.
• Collaborating with developers, architects, and business to define test strategies.
• Detecting, reporting, and following up on quality issues.
• Setting up and maintaining a test automation framework.
• Performing end-to-end regression tests.

Who are we looking for?

• Ability to propose an appropriate and effective quality strategy, taking the context into account.
• Translating stories into test scenarios and identifying edge cases.
• You identify trends, effects, risks, and future developments in the field of automated testing.
• Where appropriate, you automate test cases using standard tools or tools you develop yourself.
• You take the initiative in improving and ensuring quality, and involve the rest of the team in a collaborative approach.
• You have relevant experience in the media sector.
• You can develop a QA strategy across teams.

In addition, you have demonstrable experience in:

• QA experience in an agile environment (5 years)
• Experience in setting up and maintaining a test automation framework (3 years)
• Cypress/Playwright (5 years)
• Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, ...) (3 years)
• JMeter/Artillery/K6 Performance testing (3 years)
• Mobile test automation (1 year)
• Web testing (3 years)
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2
