As a Data Engineer, you will be working on an ambitious, company-wide digital program to modernize our digital infrastructure. Your goal? To ensure clear information that leads to cleaner water and a living environment in harmony with water.

Your Role

You are part of the Smart Data team, a cloud/edge-driven agile SAFe product team where open and smooth collaboration with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT colleagues is central.

You don’t just work behind the scenes on powerful data solutions; your enthusiasm is also infectious within the product team.

Your work has a direct impact on our core business: through efficient and innovative data processing, you contribute to clean waterways and a sustainable living environment. Thanks to your expertise, our water purification processes are managed in a more ecological and energy-efficient way.

Your Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining data products to support:

• reporting purposes delivered via Power BI. Implementing the final reports and dashboards is not your direct responsibility, but you do work closely with analysts and consuming data stakeholders.

• operational integration purposes. Various integrations between Rydoo, SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, IBM AS400, IBM Maximo, etc. have already been set up via Azure cloud and need to be further expanded/maintained.

• Promoting and implementing industry standards regarding software-oriented data design, incremental data flows, data modeling, security, etc.

• Together with analysts and business stakeholders, analyzing data and gaining insight into the structure and coherence of the data.

• Actively contributing to the further digitalization of Aquafin and the implementation of innovative technologies.

Required Competencies

• You collaborate smoothly with colleagues across various departments.

• You function within the agile SAFe planning context and you proactively and communicatively handle changing and/or overlapping priorities.

• Experience with importing and processing data from ERP and asset management systems is considered an asset. In our environment, we integrate data from SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, IBM AS400, and IBM Maximo, among others. In addition, data is also imported and processed from various SaaS platforms such as Power BI and SharePoint. Experience with APIs is therefore also a plus.
