Job Description – Senior Business Analyst

Context

The Bridges platform forms the core of our organization for the registration, processing, and reporting of member data, contributions, premiums, and reimbursements.
The system supports both federal and regional processes and integrates with accounting, payments (SEPA), and analytical reporting.
We are in the midst of a multi-year transformation project that combines migration from an existing central membership and financial management system with new, tailor-made functionalities.
Within this program, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who builds bridges between business and IT, safeguarding functional clarity and process consistency across the different domains.

Responsibilities

1. Analysis & Functional Design
2. Translating complex business processes (contributions, settlements, premiums, corrections, direct debits, etc.) into clear and feasible functional specifications.
3. Creating user stories, flow descriptions, and acceptance criteria according to internal standards.
4. Developing process diagrams and use cases in collaboration with the relevant domain experts.

5. Guiding the analysis phase for both new developments and bug fixes and improvements.

6. Stakeholder Management

7. Actively coordinating with departments (including Premiums & Reimbursements, Accounting, Membership Management).
8. Acting as a point of contact for development teams and suppliers.
9. Promoting a shared vision on functionality and priorities in consultation with product owners, testers, and project management.

10. Helping to structure governance processes around change management, prioritization, and test validation.

11. Quality Assurance & Testing

12. Preparing and executing functional tests together with testers and key users.
13. Verifying data migrations and financial calculations (such as member balances) based on reference files.

14. Identifying inconsistencies between data from the previous system and the new Bridges environment.

15. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

16. Writing and maintaining functional documentation in the central Knowledge Management Platform.
17. Supporting training programs for key users in regional and federal departments.

18. Ensuring knowledge sharing through structured release notes, demos, and feedback loops.

19. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

20. Identifying improvement opportunities in workflows and data streams (Excel extracts, Power BI reports, Power Automate flows, etc.).
21. Advising on standardization of processes and harmonization between departments and divisions.
22. Actively contributing to governance initiatives around quality, version control, and documentation.

Profile

Knowledge & Experience

• At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex or regulated environments (financial, social, or government sector).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, process analysis, and affinity with financial flows (contributions, settlements, SEPA payments).
• Experience with ERP-like platforms, data migrations, and functional integrations.
• Knowledge of databases and data processing (e.g., queries, data structures, data flows), Power BI, Excel analysis, and SharePoint is an asset.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar ticketing and test management platforms.

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and French (professional level).

Education

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in (Applied) Economics, IT, or equivalent through experience.
• Certification in Business Analysis (BABOK, CBAP, Agile BA) is an asset.
