Senior business analyst

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, structuring, and formalizing business needs within the framework of Capac's transformation initiatives, particularly those related to the core business (unemployment benefits payment) and digitalization projects.

They act both as an expert in business analysis and as a structural reference point for the development of internal business analysis capability.

They work in the ARC department, in close collaboration with business teams, IT, PMO, and Strategy, and actively contribute to the quality, consistency, and feasibility of the defined solutions.

Role Description

The Senior Business Analyst intervenes end-to-end on initiatives:

  • understanding business needs
  • analyzing existing processes
  • identifying possible improvements
  • formalizing requirements (functional and non-functional)
  • supporting through to implementation

In parallel, they play a key role in:

  • structuring business analysis practices
  • developing internal competencies
  • progressively creating an internal team of business analysts

Responsibilities

Business analysis and content production

  • Gather, analyze, and challenge stakeholder needs
  • Identify efficiency, quality, and automation gains
  • Formalize requirements (user stories, specifications, acceptance criteria…)
  • Ensure consistency between business needs, IT constraints, and strategic objectives
  • Participate in the prioritization of initiatives according to Capac's governance model
  • Contribute to validation, testing, and production phases

Structuring the business analysis function

  • Define and promote standards, methods, and tools for business analysis
  • Implement best practices adapted to the CAPAC context (pragmatism, simplicity)
  • Contribute to the governance of analyses (quality, consistency, traceability)

Coaching & development of internal competencies

  • Supervise and support business experts wishing to evolve towards a business analyst role
  • Train in basic analysis techniques (processes, requirements, modeling…)
  • Ensure a gradual transfer of skills
  • Set up mentoring and feedback mechanisms
  • Contribute to the emergence of an autonomous team of internal business analysts

Coordination and collaboration

  • Act as a liaison point between business, IT, and project teams
  • Facilitate workshops (workshops, scoping, validation)
  • Identify and manage dependencies between initiatives
  • Contribute to resolving issues related to understanding needs
  • Participate in relevant governance bodies

  • Ability to structure and formalize needs clearly and accessibly
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or training
  • Excellent communication skills (FR/NL required)
  • Pragmatic, results-oriented, able to work “hands-on”
  • Ability to juggle between global vision and operational detail

Collaboration framework

Reports to: ARC Director

Frequent interactions: PMO, Strategy, business teams, IT, management

Participation in governance bodies and project workshops

Hybrid mode with on-site presence required to support colleagues
