Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

Securex is embarking on an exciting learning and implementation journey with Microsoft Fabric. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Data Engineer to take the lead in implementing Microsoft Fabric, guide our internal team based on best practices, and transfer knowledge through structured coaching and training.

Initially, you will be the driving force behind the implementation — building the foundation, setting up pipelines, and demonstrating optimal approaches. Over time, leadership will transition to a Securex team member, and your role will shift towards either ongoing development or support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric, from foundation to production-ready solutions.
  • Design and build a Medallion Architecture within Fabric, following industry best practices.
  • Develop scalable, reliable data pipelines using Python notebooks and Fabric Data Engineering tools.
  • Integrate DevOps practices into the data development workflow.
  • Provide hands-on coaching, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions to upskill the Securex data team.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and ensure smooth handover for long-term ownership.

About You

  • Proven experience implementing Microsoft Fabric in production environments.
  • Strong track record in building Medallion Architectures, data pipelines, and Fabric-based data solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python, notebooks, and modern data engineering workflows.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication and training skills — able to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Team player who can both lead initiatives and work collaboratively.
  • Hands-on problem solver, not just a designer or architect.

If you are passionate about data engineering, thrive in a hands-on coaching role, and love seeing your expertise embedded in a team’s DNA, we’d love to hear from you.
