As a Data Solution Architect, you will participate in an ambitious, company-wide digital program to modernize our digital infrastructure. Your goal? Ensuring clear information that leads to cleaner water and a living environment in harmony with water.

Your Role

Are you the architect who brings order to the massive data stream and transforms it into strategic value? As a Senior Data Solution Architect, you are a driving force behind our transition to a data-driven enterprise. You not only build a robust data foundation but also design the infrastructure for our next generation of AI applications and Large Language Models (LLMs).

What will you do?

• Enterprise Data Governance: You design and support a comprehensive governance framework with a focus on data quality, lineage, and compliance.
• Data Product Delivery: You transform raw data into scalable Data Products. You are responsible for the entire design, from data acquisition to the presentation layer.
• AI & LLM Implementation: You prepare our data landscape for advanced AI. This includes the selection, integration, and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs) and the associated vector databases.
• Unstructured Data & Classification: You implement solutions for the automatic classification and processing of unstructured data (such as documents and emails) to make them usable for analytics and AI.
• Strategic Advice: You are the discussion partner for both IT teams and the business, translating complex business needs into future-proof technical architectures.

Required Competencies

• Expertise: You have 5 years of demonstrable experience designing Enterprise Data Platforms, with at least 3 years specifically on the Azure cloud platform. You are familiar with modern cloud-native solutions and possess the knowledge and experience to modernize existing data pipelines and workloads towards technologies such as Databricks Lakeflow, dbt, or Microsoft Fabric. You understand the architectural impact of such migrations and guide teams in selecting, designing, and implementing these new components within the broader Enterprise Data Platform. You actively contribute to the development of guidelines, best practices, and reference architectures, and you monitor compliance within teams and projects.
• AI-Native: You understand the architectural requirements for AI, such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and data preprocessing for model training.
• Governance Mindset: Experience with tools for data cataloging and classification (such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, dScribe, or Informatica) is a must.
• Communicator: You can convincingly present complex concepts to stakeholders at various levels. You collaborate smoothly with colleagues across different departments. You operate within the agile SAFe planning framework and handle changing and/or overlapping priorities proactively and communicatively.
• Experience with our stack is definitely a plus: integrating Azure Cloud Data Platform (Azure Data Factory and Databricks) with SAP S/4HANA (Data Sphere), SAP SuccessFactors, IBM AS400 and IBM Maximo, and SaaS platforms such as Power BI and SharePoint.
• Security by Design: is key, as we are NIS2-compliant as an organization, ensuring that both the data architecture and the development process fully meet the required security guidelines. Experience with test automation and enhancing our quality assurance is a significant asset.
