Senior IT Project Manager
Context
You will join the Business Solutions department and report to the Manager Build & Transform.
STIB wishes to continue the digitalization of the driver agents' journey through the EasyDriver project. This project aims to provide agents with a digital solution that simplifies and modernizes their daily tasks: consultation of the schedule, digital roadmap, vehicle checklist, incident reporting, access to MyApps, and operational documents.
EasyDriver is part of a broader trajectory to modernize legacy tools for driver agents, with particular attention paid to user experience, integration with existing applications, and future online service start. The initial need involves a dynamic web page accessible to agents, in order to avoid strong dependency on a specific device type or format.
You will join the Build & Transform team, responsible for the analysis, preparation, and execution of the department's structuring projects.
Your role
The Project Manager’s mission is to structure, steer, and secure the EasyDriver project from framing through preparation for realization, ensuring alignment between business needs, IT constraints, application dependencies, and governance requirements.
The project must address the following dimensions in particular:
- digitalization of the roadmap and schedule
- digital vehicle checklist
- vehicle and network incident reporting
- access to MyApps mobile
- articulation with Hastus SelfService, SAP, IRIS, MyApps, and existing systems
- consideration of device constraints: personal smartphone, STIB device, tablet, Phoenix console
- security, authentication, GDPR, availability and access outside the intranet
- preparation of the support, maintenance, and run model
1. Project framing and structuring
The Project Manager will need to:
- take over elements from the Business Request, design sprint, and pre-analysis
- clarify the functional and non-functional scope of the EasyDriver project
- structure the necessary work packages for analysis, design, architecture, integration, development, testing, change management, and deployment
- identify dependencies with existing projects and systems: Hastus, DailyCrew, DailyVehicle, SelfService, SAP, IRIS, MyApps, Phoenix, Intune, network security, infrastructure, and IAM
- produce a realistic schedule, capacity plan, and resource plan
- prepare the necessary elements for governance decisions
2. Business steering and cross-functional coordination
The Project Manager must coordinate the Business and IT stakeholders, including:
- representatives of the Metro, Tram, and Bus BUs
- Operations teams
- IT Business Solutions teams
- Transport Solutions teams
- architecture, infrastructure, security, IAM, and workplace teams
- teams in charge of Hastus, SAP, IRIS, and MyApps
- any external suppliers
They must be able to manage a multi-stakeholder environment where business, social, operational, and IT stakes are strongly intertwined.
3. Dependency management and arbitration
The Project Manager must identify these dependencies, document them, track open decisions, organize arbitration, and escalate blocking points.
4. Governance, reporting, and budget
The Project Manager will need to:
- prepare project governance materials
- organize and lead project committees
- ensure reporting to IT management and business sponsors
- track the budget, workloads, risks, decisions, and actions
- prepare any Gate / DAB / Change Request files according to STIB governance
- provide a clear vision of options, costs, risks, benefits, and impacts
5. Delivery and execution preparation
The Project Manager will coordinate:
- detailed analysis
- functional and technical workshops
- validation of the target solution
- preparation for developments or integrations
- test strategy
- progressive deployment strategy
- change management
- transition to RUN
Profile sought
- Confirmed experience in management of complex and cross-functional IT projects
- Experience in a multi-stakeholder environment (Business & IT)
- Ability to lead projects in a modernization or migration context
- Good understanding of application integration challenges
- Excellent communication, structuring, and decision-making skills
Language skills
- French or Dutch: excellent
- Second language French or Dutch: good
- English: good
Additional information:
The assignment may be extended for a maximum duration (including initial duration) of: 880 working days. The PM must ensure a “maximum” amount of on-site work to facilitate the business/IT connection.
