JAVA Developer (Senior)

Location: Antwerp

Part of a DevOps team responsible for developing new state-of-the-art applications and components for the port and the port community on behalf of Port of Antwerp-Bruges.

Specifically, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic developer for the team responsible for the further improvement and expansion of APICS (Advanced Port Information and Control System) and related operational systems.

• Design, build, and maintain applications, APIs, and microservices in Java in a DevOps environment
• Setup, scripting, and development within this stack: Java, Angular, Hibernate, SOAP and REST, Spring Boot, Oracle DB
• Integration with a Java backend via RESTful APIs (JSON, XML)
• Writing unit and integration tests
• Setting up test environments, creating scenarios, and executing all forms of testing
• Very thorough knowledge of Java, Java APIs, and Spring Boot
• Thorough knowledge of SQL databases such as Oracle
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Jira
• Knowledge of Kibana, Elastic Search
