Senior Java full stack Developer
Purpose of the position:
- Develop, program, test, and maintain assigned software applications and management software in order to deliver the most reliable IT applications possible that meet the needs and expectations of the business.
Areas of results:

Participate in identifying user needs and carry out a feasibility analysis to understand user requirements, evaluate their technical feasibility, and facilitate easy application programming.

Perform a technical analysis and write documentation related to modifications and developments of assigned applications to have a useful base that simplifies future changes to the applications.

Test solutions designed within the department and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that solutions meet established quality standards and business needs.

Monitor production developments and make modifications if necessary, contribute to the realization and improvement of assigned applications to guarantee a development process that is both straightforward and effective.

Control, analyze, and resolve intervention requests and bugs related to assigned applications to ensure the most reliable functioning of the applications.

Act as an advisor for technical support and functional questions concerning software applications and management software, as well as providing solutions for internal and external parties, in order to support optimal use and development of the various applications.
Responsibilities:
- Understands client requests and needs, and challenges them (what, why, who, when, where, and how), maintaining a critical, analytical, and creative approach.
- Understands different database modeling concepts and object-oriented principles.
- Able to intervene across the entire “backend” technical chain and the technologies used.
- Strong expertise in JAVA 8+ (Reactive Streams, performance, etc.) and related frameworks (mainly Spring and Maven).
- Good knowledge of the following components: Jenkins, JIRA, Git… Experience with microservices implementation and DB queries (Oracle, SQL, and DB2) is an asset.
- Documents the applications under their responsibility (e.g. user manuals, processes, etc.).
- Participates in the team’s Agile way-of-life (SCRUM Methodology).
- Develops and tests.
- Develops new features or bugfixes in JAVA following established patterns.
- Tests their own work or that of a team member.
- Supports the Business in data usage.
- Performs technical analyses and challenges business analyses.
- Adheres to the IT Governance and strategy of D’Ieteren IT.
Knowledge/experience:
- Master’s degree, Bachelor’s, or equivalent by experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Concrete experience in JAVA analysis and development (preferably Spring and Reactive Streams).
- Good knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and JIRA components.
- Good knowledge in DB (Oracle, SQL, DB2, etc.).
- Knowledge of using an IDE such as IntelliJ or similar.
- Solid frontend experience in the latest versions of Angular (React is a plus).
- Comfortable with the following concepts: ngrx, OpenID Connect, HTML, CSS and Typescript, SASS.
- Knowledge of Json Form is also an asset.
- Good knowledge of French or Dutch (spoken/written), and knowledge of English (spoken/written).
- Oral understanding of French is an asset (Francophone team).
