Senior .NET Software Engineer – Cloud & Kubernetes Specialist
.NET SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Clouds & Kubernetes)
Are you an experienced .NET developer with a passion for cloud technology and do you want to help build a sustainable and reliable digital future? For a large-scale project within a key player in the European energy landscape, we are looking for a .NET Software Engineer with experience in cloud and container platforms.
About the mission
You will be part of a dynamic team working on applications that are essential for the energy infrastructure of tomorrow. Together with internal employees and other external specialists, you will work on solutions that contribute to the sustainability of the energy transition.
One of the core projects is the migration of existing applications from a public cloud environment (AKS) to a private cloud environment. For this, you will work closely with a .NET Software Architect. You will get to know the existing application architecture and help redesign and implement the solution within the new platform.
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate on the redesign and migration of applications to a private cloud environment
- Build and maintain microservices based on .NET 8
- Integrate with Kubernetes and deployment tools such as Helm and Terraform
- Apply best practices around test-driven development and secure authentication (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
- Collaborate with the architect and the team to deliver scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions
- Work according to the quality standards and technical guidelines of the project
Your profile
You are a technically strong and eager-to-learn developer who takes responsibility and delivers quality work. You have experience with cloud-native technology and are familiar with complex technical environments.
Requirements:
- Solid experience with
.NET (preferably .NET 8) - Experience with container technologies:
Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform - Knowledge of
workload identity, CSI drivers, and private cloud principles - Experience with
EF Core, OAuth2, OpenID Connect - Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases (
PostgreSQL, MongoDB) - Familiar with
Kafka and microservices architecture - Experience with
test-driven development
Nice to have:
- Experience with
Dapr - Knowledge of
Blazor or WPF (for future UI development)
Soft skills:
- Strong communication skills
- Sense of responsibility and proactive work attitude
- Team-oriented and willing to learn
Language requirements:
- Fluent in
Dutch and English - Good knowledge of
French is a big plus
