Senior Network Consultant

In this context, the ICT Directorate-General (Information and Communication Technology) is responsible for everything related to the IT and telecommunication support needed to carry out the missions of the FPS Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, with a particular focus on infrastructure, software, and IT security aspects. It is a dynamic and innovative environment that takes on the challenge of providing modern and secure applications and support to our internal services and our fellow citizens.
Your responsibilities as Senior Network Consultant
- You function as an advisor for ad-hoc questions regarding technical guidance on general networking and network security

You analyze and support solutions related to network infrastructure, network technologies, applications, network management, and security. By this, we mean:

Network infrastructure: environments based on network elements (Routers, Switches, Interconnectivity, Remote Access, secure VPN, SASE solutions, etc.)
- Applications: email, management tools, proxies, DNS, DHCP, …
- Management: monitoring tools, capacity, configuration, SLA, …

Security: firewalls, proxies, antivirus, IDS, VPN, analysis, …

You continuously assess the current network landscape in comparison to new technologies and solutions.
- You identify opportunities and optimization trajectories for the currently used network.
- You oversee the overall context of network security within both current and future environments versus the prevailing modern network security techniques.
- You organize workshops to determine new visions and strategies regarding network environments
