Senior Project Manager / Program Manager
SECaaS2 & NIS2 Implementation – Infrastructure, Security, and Compliance Projects
Context and Positioning of the Role
The FAVV is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Program Manager who will be responsible for leading the implementation of NIS2 compliance, through various transversal infrastructure, security, and IT governance projects.
The role is primarily focused on coordination, governance, and steering of external partners, in an environment with multiple specialized suppliers, internal teams, and various decision-making bodies.
The position is situated within a context of infrastructure, security, and regulation (compliance), and does not pertain to the management of application projects or software development.
The Project Manager serves as the central point of contact for FAVV towards these partners and provides a consolidated overview of progress, challenges, and dependencies for management.
He/she is part of the ICT project management team, under the coordination of the ICT PMO.
Scope of the Assignment – NIS2 Implementation
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall steering, on behalf of FAVV, of the implementation of NIS2 compliance, among others through the introduction and management of the SECaaS2 program, as well as initiatives related to infrastructure, security, and identity management that contribute to the legal objectives.
The projects are part of a transversal and structural approach for the organization, with shared solutions and services, and not of specific business applications.
The operational implementation of the solutions is carried out by specialized external suppliers.
In this context, the Project Manager coordinates multiple external suppliers in parallel, monitors their commitments and deliveries, safeguards the overall coherence of NIS2-related initiatives, and ensures structured and regular reporting to management and the governance bodies.
Expected Role
The Project Manager is expected to have a senior profile, able to operate in a multi-supplier and multi-project environment, represent FAVV in contacts with external partners, and maintain an overall overview of the progress of the NIS2 implementation.
He/she operates at program level and within governance, with a global and transversal approach, rather than at the operational or functional level of an individual project.
He/she ensures clear, concise, and factual communication to internal stakeholders and management.
Required Competencies and Experience
- Proven experience in managing complex IT projects, preferably in infrastructure, security, or compliance contexts.
- Extensive experience in managing and coordinating multiple external suppliers, including follow-up and reporting.
- Sufficient understanding of infrastructure, cloud, and security environments to understand challenges, critically assess proposals, and support decisions at the required level.
- Knowledge of the principles and challenges regarding NIS2 and information security.
- Experience with application projects is not a priority for this role.
- The role does not include technical implementation, but strong credibility within infrastructure and security projects is essential.
The contract will be extended upon positive evaluation after completion.
Languages
- Native language: French or Dutch
- Excellent knowledge of the other national language
