Senior test analyst with broad responsibility for ensuring software quality within complex IT projects. The core of the role consists of analyzing functional requirements, identifying risks, and translating these into structured test scenarios and cases that are aligned with the project objectives and available resources.

This role includes defining a test approach in line with the test strategy, in close collaboration with other senior test analysts and project stakeholders. The test analyst ensures that milestones are achieved, and that test cases are substantively strong and correctly prioritized.

In addition to the preparation phase, the test analyst is also active during the execution phase: validating software quality, performing manual and automated tests at various test levels, analyzing CI/CD results, and functionally reviewing deliverables to assess test coverage and product quality. Deviations are monitored, inefficiencies identified, and improvement proposals formulated.

Clear and transparent communication forms an essential aspect of the role: test results and recommendations are reported to stakeholders and test coordinators in a structured manner. Test documentation, process descriptions, and use cases are accurately maintained.

The test analyst plays a connecting role between business, technical teams, and users. He/she convinces developers of the value of test cases, coordinates with other tribes, and actively influences the quality of requirements through static reviews.

Finally, the role includes coaching, guiding, and steering junior testers within the project or the tribe, with attention to quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous process improvement.

Competencies

• At least 7 years of experience in a similar role.

• Thorough knowledge of test methodologies, tasks, and processes. Possession of one or more ISTQB foundation or advanced certificates is a plus.

• Familiarity with the use of a test management tool, e.g., Testlink, Zephyr

• Familiarity with the use of an issue & project management tool, e.g., Jira

• Familiarity with the use of a content collaboration tool, e.g., Confluence

• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Cypress, JUnit5

• Basic knowledge of development practices & test paradigms such as continuous integration & TDD

• Basic knowledge of UML

• Basic knowledge of Java

• Basic knowledge of SQL

• Basic knowledge of git / svn

• Good interpersonal skills

• Finally, you express yourself fluently in Dutch and French.
