Within the IT department of VIVAQUA, the Test Manager may be involved in multiple projects, mainly in the domain related to SAP S4 IS-U but not exclusively. Expertise in Utilities (IS-U) is essential.

As part of VIVAQUA’s plans to implement new company processes in SAP, the consultant sought will be experienced in all types of testing of the solution between IT and the business.

The position requires both functional and technical experience and understanding in the required competence.

They will have a team spirit and be able to plan and work independently with IT experts as well as with business users.

Additionally, the consultant will be able to provide colleagues with advice and coaching in the field of testing.

In this role, they:

• Are able to establish a test strategy and a testing approach for a project as well as for changes to the current solution.
• Write the integrated test plan, with the support of the VIVAQUA test lead.
• Set up and manage test tracking and the follow-up of identified defects (including the follow-up on defect resolution).
• Define the scope and planning of the different test phases and implement detailed test tracking (real-time dashboard).
• Follow the development of different test scenarios based on the project blueprint and provide support for their execution when necessary.
• Track the progress of tests versus the planning and report defects, including associated risks, and report to the IT PM and the project Steerco.
• Ensure that documentation and training are aligned with testing needs.
• Verify that all relevant applications and interfaces are tested to guarantee “no” regression after go-live.
• Become familiar with VIVAQUA’s SAP IS-U application and related applications.

Expected deliverables are:

• a testing approach and planning for the various SAP projects at Vivaqua;
• a library of test scenarios (positive and negative);
• a list of acceptance criteria;
• a testing approach and solution;
• reporting of test results as well as defects and related actions using the JIRA tool;
• test tracking and acceptance reports;
• comprehensive documentation to be reused in the future.

Enhanced requirements for JIRA (advanced expertise)

The Test Manager must have advanced expertise in JIRA, including:

• design and optimization of workflows (conditions, validators, post-functions);
• creation of dashboards and real-time reports for test and defect tracking;
• use of test management extensions such as Xray, Zephyr or equivalent;
• management of permissions, screens, schemes and notifications. Demonstrated experience in JIRA administration is highly desirable.

Methodological skills (ISTQB + test management)

An ISTQB Foundation certification is required; ISTQB Test Manager / Advanced certification is a major asset. The consultant must master testing methodologies (V-Model, Agile, Hybrid), quality risk management, definition of test KPIs, as well as the implementation of structured testing governance.

Expected SAP-specific skills

The consultant must have a good understanding of SAP S4 IS-U and Open Text processes as well as inter-module integration testing. Knowledge of SAP interfaces (IDoc, RFC, CPI) is an asset. They must be able to analyze an SAP blueprint, identify the impacts on testing, and define relevant E2E scenarios.

Essential soft skills for a senior role

The consultant must demonstrate:

• the ability to challenge IT and business teams
• natural leadership in coordinating test phases
• strong quality orientation and documentary rigor
• the ability to manage conflicts and arbitrate priorities
• complete autonomy in planning and executing testing activities.

Throughout your assignment you comply with GDPR, ISO27001, and NIS2 regulations.

Assignment execution terms:

The designated consultant will be assigned full-time to the execution of the contract and may be required to work up to 440 man-days spread over approximately 2 years, based on a 40-hour working week, during VIVAQUA’s business days.

Services will be performed at least 3 days/week onsite at VIVAQUA’s headquarters, potentially discontinuously, unless expressly exempted by the Head of the IT Department.

The consultant is informed that they are not authorized to work overtime or outside of office hours (Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) without the express authorization of VIVAQUA.

The designated consultant must take into account the continuity of service requirements of VIVAQUA and the constraints related to the projects it manages when planning their leave, and must agree in advance with the Managing Officer on this matter.

The designated consultant must comply with the provisions of the Code of conduct for external providers of VIVAQUA, this document being available upon request.

Additional information:

The assignment may be extended for a maximum duration (including the initial period) of: 880 business days.
