As a UX Designer at Belfius, you will help shape the user experience of our banking applications, used daily by more than 2 million people.

The job in a nutshell:

You believe that synergy between business and user needs is essential for a successful digital product. Together with stakeholders, you determine how objectives are translated into features on our digital platforms. You take a leading role and assess what steps are needed to bring a project to a successful outcome.

This can range from challenging requirements through workshops, conducting user tests, creating wireframes, to developing information architecture. Afterwards, you collaborate with the UI designer to give your feature its final shape.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary design team including UX designers, UI designers, Design System experts, service designers, and user researchers. Your shared goal: to deliver the best possible user experience to our customers across all digital banking services.

You don’t need to be a unicorn:

Though you can certainly become one here. You’ll get to spread your wings if you meet the following criteria:

• You have a degree in Digital Design, Experience Design, or a related field.
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a UX Designer in a digital environment.
• You have excellent knowledge of user-centered design methodologies.
• You think analytically and solution-oriented — we expect you to bring ideas based on diverse inputs to improve our digital platforms.
• You have strong communication skills and feel comfortable presenting to stakeholders (including management).
• You have a good understanding of interface patterns for mobile apps (iOS & Android) and desktop applications.
• You’re proficient in Figma and Miro.
• You’re a team player who knows how to bring people together.
• You’re curious about how AI tools and automation can enhance your design process — from ideation to research, prototyping, and validation.
• You’re fluent in Dutch or French and can understand the other language, even if you don’t speak it fluently.
