General context

RIZIV is an important player in the social security system. Its mission is twofold.

  1. We ensure that all insured persons, regardless of their situation, have effective access to the high-quality healthcare they need (accessibility) and are reimbursed. This healthcare must be efficient and provided at the agreed rates (rate certainty).

  2. We ensure that insured persons, both employees and self-employed, receive an adequate replacement income in the event of incapacity for work or pregnancy/parenthood. We ensure that after their incapacity for work, they are given real reintegration opportunities.

The employee will be part of the SDO Service Desk team within the IT department of RIZIV (general support services) to support the business services of RIZIV.

Responsibilities

As an IT Support Officer, you will be part of a team of about ten people and your task is to ensure that users get the most out of their machines and applications. You provide first-line support to internal employees (about 1,500 users), both for PCs and telephony.

Specifically, you answer calls (in French and Dutch), register reported incidents, and determine the daily priorities of the helpdesk. You resolve incidents, coach users, and familiarize them with new IT tools.

You will also participate in client projects that may have an impact on your work (e.g., rolling out new configurations).

Finally, you will also collaborate with the teams for servers, infrastructure, and network monitoring.

Required profile

  1. You have a bachelor's degree in IT or are in the process of obtaining it and you have good knowledge of and experience with hardware and software (including the operating system).

  2. You have a good basic knowledge of IT infrastructure (LAN, TCP/IP, security infrastructure, Windows domains, network printing, etc.), so you can make a well-founded diagnosis.

  3. Knowledge and experience with ITIL would be an asset.

  4. You are proactive, result-oriented, and make it a point of honor to find (structural) solutions.

  5. You work in a structured way and plan your work by setting priorities.

  6. You have excellent communication skills and are stress-resistant.
