Role: Service Now Solution Architect - General Secretariat of the Council of the EU
Location: Remote from Europe - General Secretariat of the Council of the EU

Responsibilities

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

• Lead the design and architecture of Service Now solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical feasibility, and scalability
• Define, implement and document the solution scope, requirements, specifications, and design artifacts, using tools such as Service Now Studio, Visio, and UML
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developers and other team members on Service Now development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns
• Design and implement changes and updates of the Service Now platform, including the development, testing, and deployment of Service Now solutions, ensuring quality, performance, and security
• Manage and resolve complex technical issues and risks, escalating them as needed
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure smooth delivery and support of Service Now solutions
• Stay updated on the latest Service Now features, functionalities, and trends, and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation

Requirements

Following skills are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• University Degree
• At least 4 years of experience as a Service Now solution Architect
• Great experience in Service Now development, configuration, and administration, with exposure to various Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HR, and GRC
• Great experience in Service Now solution architecture, design, and implementation, with proven track record of delivering complex and high-quality solutions
• Great understanding of Service Now platform capabilities, architecture, and best practices, as well as ITIL and ITSM frameworks
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications and integrations
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting languages
• Experience in integrating Service Now with other systems and applications using RESTful APIs, SOAP, and MID servers
• Oversees the operational aspects of Service Now and dealing with ServiceNow support services
• Designing, implementing and testing integrations between ServiceNow and different third-party systems using REST, WebServices etc., while applying ServiceNow best practices
• Advanced knowledge on secure communication and data encryption technologies on the Now Platform

Certificates:

• Service Now System Administrator
• Service Now Application Developer
• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more domains

Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
• Good knowledge of French - Level B2 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing is considered an asset

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Ability to work efficiently in a remote or hybrid team, using standard tools such as Microsoft Teams
