In this context, the Directorate-General for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is responsible for everything related to the IT and telecommunication support needed to carry out the missions of the FPS Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, particularly with regard to infrastructure, software, and IT security aspects. It is a dynamic and innovative environment that takes on the challenge of providing modern and secure applications and support to our internal services and our fellow citizens.

A developer is someone who writes, develops, and maintains software. This can be in the form of websites, apps, or web applications. The ServiceNow developer designs, configures, develops, and integrates application solutions on the platform. Their goal is to automate business processes (IT, Human Resources, Customer Service) in order to improve operational efficiency.

  • Design and configure the platform’s native modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, etc.).
  • Develop custom scripts (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions) in JavaScript.
  • Create and customize user portals (Service Portal) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Model data and configure validation workflows (Flow Designer).

For this specific project, the Directorate-General for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is implementing the ServiceNow Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) solution to develop an integrated platform for facility management and asset management.

The project specifically focuses on:

  • management of inventories and assets;
  • management of buildings, spaces, and floor plans;
  • indoor mapping;
  • contract management;
  • fleet management;
  • management of inventories of furniture and equipment;
  • mobile usage and QR codes;

General tasks and responsibilities

  • Designing software: Conceives the structure and functionality of the software.
  • Writing code: Uses programming languages to build the software.
  • Implementing and testing: Ensures that the software works properly, detects errors (bugs), and resolves them.
