Support Engineer Media (freelance)
VRT is looking for 1 full-time OR 2 part-time freelance support engineers media;

What do we expect from you?
As a support engineer media, you are at the heart of the production process every day:
- Journalists, editors, directors can confidently come to you with their technical problems, which you will then tackle.
- You resolve technical incidents yourself or prompt a specialist colleague to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
- You provide first-line support to production staff from the various editorial teams.
- You support them with all technical resources/facilities used by the radio networks, the news service, and the TV editorial teams.
- You have a coordinating role in resolving issues, directing your colleagues within the technology department to restore service as quickly as possible.
- You follow up on technical projects (e.g. new studios, broadcast system, recording equipment...).
- You test new systems and equipment, document them, and provide training to end users.
Who are you?
- You have a master's or bachelor's degree (preferably in a technical field such as industrial engineering, computer science, etc., or equivalent through experience) and you are passionate about technology.
- Have you completed an audiovisual education and have sufficient knowledge of IT and electronics? Then you are also eligible.
- You are highly communicative and customer-oriented.
- You are stress-resistant and able to handle feedback.
- You value quality and have a strong sense of responsibility.
- You are a problem solver, pursue high quality standards, and do your best to achieve the best results with the available people and resources.
- You have an analytical mind and can accurately analyze a customer’s request.
- You are a team player, able to integrate smoothly and identify with VRT’s objectives.
- You are willing to work morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts.
What do we offer you?
You will receive a full-time or part-time contract for a freelance assignment via an intermediary for 12 months; both options are possible for us. Extension and rate adjustments are possible by mutual agreement (Max. 3 times extendable and rate adjustments only according to the applicable Agoria index). We work with an all-in rate (taking into account morning, day, evening, and weekend work)
The assignment may be awarded to one or more parties.

Context/Requirements:
- 4.1.2 “The rates stated in the Contract are so-called "all-in" rates, in which all costs are included, such as but not limited to management and administration costs, costs of all communication means, and all travel costs to and from the place of performance (including parking costs). The rates are only exclusive of VAT.”
- 6.1 “Subcontractor must take out the necessary insurances with an FSMA-recognized insurer for the entire duration of the Agreement and is obliged to ensure that auxiliary personnel are also insured against liability risks. These concern the following insurances:
- All legally required insurances applicable to the Assignment (e.g. work accidents, business travel, ...)
- Civil Liability and Professional Liability insurance (...)”

- “(...) Client guarantees that VRT will refrain from encouraging the MSP resource to leave the Subcontractor during the term of the Contract and for a period of 12 months after its effective end.”
- 13.2.1 “The Contract terminates automatically upon reaching its end date and/or upon reaching the maximum number of performance days provided therein. Any further performance by Subcontractor thereafter cannot give rise to invoicing. Each Party may terminate the Contract by observing a written notice period of 1 month. (...)”
