Role: Expert in Automation and Powershell - European Parliament

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid) - European Parliament

Responsibilities

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

• Reviewing and validating existing scripts
• Managing source code and version control
• Maintaining and updating internal modules for team use
• Managing login scripts across all workstations
• Administering the scheduled tasks server and related tasks
• Centralizing and aggregating information from logs, databases, or Active Directory upon request

Requirements:

Following skills are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
• ITIL V4 Foundation Certified (or certification required within 3 months of contract start)
• Great experience in Office Automation (MS Windows, Mac OS, MS office, productivity applications), digital workplace and mobile computing
• Great experience in Automation & PowerShell
• Ability to write and manage complex PowerShell scripts
• Strong Windows Background
• Solid understanding of Windows environments is required
• Version Control Experience
• Regular use of Git/GitLab for code management and collaboration
• Great experience using PowerShell for querying SQL Server and Active Directory via ADSI (note: no AD module available on workstations)
• Ability to centralize and process logs in various formats
• Familiarity with Windows instrumentation layers (WMI/CIM)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• In-depth knowledge of Windows internals (Registry, .NET Framework, etc.)

Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
• Great knowledge of French - Level B2/C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
