System Engineer Build
Context
The Federal Pension Service is looking for an experienced Build & Release Engineer to strengthen the Build & Release team.
The team is responsible for managing, supporting, and further developing the central CI/CD ecosystem used within the organization.
The consultant will not only be responsible for the operational management of these platforms, but also actively contribute to the further modernization and standardization of the software delivery chain.
Purpose of the role
As a Build & Release Engineer, you are responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing the build, release, and deployment processes of the Federal Pension Service.
You support development teams in achieving reliable and automated software delivery and actively contribute to the transformation of the current CI/CD solution into a future-oriented, scalable, and secure software delivery environment.
You contribute to higher quality software deliveries, faster time-to-market, and a further reduction of operational risks and technical debt.
Key responsibilities
- Managing and optimizing the existing CI/CD ecosystem. The current environment uses, among others, Jenkins, Digital.ai Release, Digital.ai Deploy, and Nexus Repository.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining build and deployment pipelines and analyzing and resolving complex build and deployment issues.
- Supporting development teams with CI/CD-related challenges.
- Actively contributing to the modernization of the current CI/CD solution, including identifying and implementing improvements in build, release, and deployment processes.
- Standardizing software delivery processes across different teams.
- Managing software artifacts and repositories.
- Integrating quality and security controls within the software delivery chain.
- Drawing up and maintaining technical documentation and procedures.
- Actively participating in knowledge sharing within the team.
Technical Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with CI/CD & Build Automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Release & Deployment Management (Digital.ai Release, Digital.ai Deploy)
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Artifact Repository Management (Nexus Repository, Artifactory, Azure Artifacts)
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Source Code Management (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket)
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Scripting & Automation (Bash, Python)
- Minimum 3 years of experience with DevSecOps & Continuous Improvement (SonarQube, Security Scanning, CI/CD Governance)
