Technical and functional support regarding case management systems within the Public Prosecutor's Office
Context
The Support Service of the Public Prosecutor's Office is a center of expertise that provides fully-fledged support both in terms of management and policy to, on the one hand, the colleges, councils, and expert networks and, on the other hand, the judicial entities.
The Support Service must be accessible for investigating legal and criminological issues and answering questions regarding budget, personnel, ICT, etc.
Specifically within the ICT domain, the Support Service is responsible for, among other things:

- Collecting, analyzing, and defining the priority ICT needs within the different entities of the Public Prosecutor's Office and – in consultation with internal/external partners – translating these into ICT applications.

The computerization and digitalization of the judicial system are important components of the coalition agreement as well as the policy statement and policy note for Justice.
To achieve these objectives, there is a need for a profile with extensive knowledge and expertise of the MaCH database (criminal section and traffic section), which forms the core for the main applications of the Public Prosecutor's Office: MaCH, JustOne, Crossborder, … Such expertise will contribute to a more efficiently functioning Justice system and better insight into the data necessary for decision-making, which will promote further automation within Justice.
Core tasks:
- Support in the daily management of data in MaCH, including the creation, checking, and cleaning of master data.
- Conducting technical validation of business and functional analyses.
- Drafting business and functional analyses for new projects.
- Delivering specific reports and query-based lists for the College and other stakeholders.
- Optimizing and monitoring access rights and security aspects within MaCH.
- Providing specialized training on the use of MaCH.
- Supporting impact analyses of legislative changes (e.g., new criminal code) on existing applications.
Examples of projects:
- Finalizing analyses for NATPAR 2.0 and cleaning corrupted data via scripts.
- Securing sensitive information (secrecy of investigation).
- Linking and integrating MaCH with other systems.
- Analysis and development of parameter boxes for various entity types.

Technical competencies
- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, Oracle forms, SQL)
- Experience with data cleaning, normalization, and master data
- Use of queries and scripts for data analysis and cleaning
- Proficiency in SQL for creating lists and reports
- Understanding of access rights, roles, and authorization management
- Experience in drafting and validating business requirements
- Ability to assess the technical feasibility of functional proposals
- Experience with test scenarios, acceptance testing, and debugging
- Experience in delivering (technical) training
- Knowledge of MaCH and the context of the Public Prosecutor's Office and of Justice
