The Federal Police is engaged in a large-scale digital and organizational transformation, aiming to modernize its processes, strengthen operational efficiency, and better meet the expectations of citizens and field services.
Within this context, the business unit BILOC is responsible for a number of applications that are closely or remotely linked to the work of police officers in the field. One of these applications is FOCUS, which enables field officers to perform a whole range of tasks from their smartphone or tablet. The development of this application is handled by a partner, while the application is hosted on the Federal Police's infrastructure. This application already comprises around twenty operational modules and is constantly evolving both functionally and technically.

Mission
- Ticket follow-up: prioritize, dispatch, process, and control their correct execution, assist the frontline service in gaining maturity
- Incident management: analyze and find the problem, coordinate resolution with the various technical teams, communicate and establish a post-mortem report
- Release management: ensure the smooth running of bi-monthly releases, testing and internal follow-up by the different application managers
- Handling technical aspects: be, within the team, the reference person for everything related to the technical aspects of the application, organize regular meetings with the company responsible for development, coordinate interactions between the different technical teams involved in the FOCUS suite
- Technical project coordination: take charge of technical projects such as infrastructure migration, technical evolution of the application, perform compatibility tests between the application and the infrastructure, …
- Technical documentation: document the technical aspects of the FOCUS application
In practice
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 150 days (extendable)
- Regime: Full time (40h/week)
- Work location: rue Royale 202A 1000 Brussels
- Working conditions: Presence at the office at least twice a week depending on tasks and in agreement with the team, teleworking authorized (in Belgium)
- Team: multidisciplinary, mix of internal and external collaborators
