Technical Lead EES BORDERTASK

Project Objective

Develop a section within the Bordertask web application for processing data on travel authorizations. These are supplied, among others, by the European EES system during border control operations.

Service

The Business Unit International (BINAT), within the Directorate of Police Information and ICT Resources (DRI), is responsible for coordinating information needs to comply with European and international guidelines. It also ensures that focal points arising from various international agreements or projects are taken on by the other Business Units so they can carry out an impact analysis. BINAT works in direct collaboration with the Legal Office of DRI and CGI (Directorate of International Police Cooperation).

Assignments:

  • Proactively monitors the development of new communication tools and databases at the international level and according to the needs of end-users in the field;
  • Ensures dynamic communication in both directions and, at a national level, adapted to current developments;
  • Aims for the implementation of qualitative and high-performance products in the shortest possible timeframe, so that end-users have a real –
  • Pays attention to a clear translation of the operation of delivered products through targeted training, documentation bundles, and communication messages.

Mission

  • You design, develop, and test web applications based on preliminary functional and technical analyses.
  • You ensure quality assurance and development of applications in PHP and Javascript in a multi-user environment with high availability and high visibility.
  • You stay up to date with technological developments, provide technical advice in your area of expertise, and propose possible adjustments to projects.
  • You analyze, whether or not in cooperation with the functional analysts, the needs of the users.
