ABOUT THE POSITION
The position, within a specific field of expertise, is responsible for performing maintenance tasks and/or operating installations within the set quality, safety, and environmental standards, with the aim of guaranteeing efficiency and effectiveness in and around the BP buildings, installations, etc.

Areas of responsibility
- Performing and planning the assigned complex maintenance tasks and/or operational tasks with the aim of ensuring the proper functioning of the installations.
- Preparing and executing maintenance tasks (e.g. reserving spare parts, making appointments with operations / VEM, coordinating VGW, ...)
- Creating dimensional sketches, P&ID’s, electrical diagrams, ...
- Performing operational tasks (e.g. conducting inspection rounds, managing utilities, performing plug tests, ...)
- Identifying, analyzing, and addressing problems and failures within your own area of expertise with the aim of preventing or solving process disruptions and defects.
- Identifying disruptions and defects.
- Analyzing the problem and making proposals to solve or prevent disruptions and defects.
- Registering disruptions and/or alarms and taking appropriate action.
- Participating in working groups for improvement projects with the aim of contributing to the continuous improvement process.
- Formulating proposals and possible solutions.
- Performing assigned tasks within the specified time limit.
- Participating in risk and workplace analyses.
- Participating in the technical installation of projects with the aim of contributing to their successful realization.
- Providing input regarding maintainability and ergonomics.
- Verifying technical requirements through tests and inspections.
- Collaborating in the commissioning of technical installations.
- Reporting the status of work in the context of your own field of expertise with the aim of informing the organization / hierarchy, safeguarding knowledge, and constantly improving.
- Co-drafting instructions and preparing manuals.
- Registering and keeping data up to date in the designated management system and logbooks.
- Communicating and overseeing adjustments to diagrams & P&ID’s.
- Task-oriented directing and guiding (internal / external) staff during maintenance activities and inspections with the aim of ensuring the work proceeds smoothly.
- Providing technical, operational instructions.
