Test Analyst

Context:

RSVZ is a dynamic organization where more than 150 people work within the IT department. RSVZ is a bilingual environment, with both French-speaking and Dutch-speaking stakeholders. Within IT, agile working is applied (scrum methodology).

The Test Analyst is part of a Dutch-speaking scrum development team that is multidisciplinary in composition. The team consists of a scrum master, business analysts, developers, product owner, application owner, and test analysts.

Assignment and role

As a Test Analyst, you are responsible for setting up and executing tests with the aim of delivering high-quality software. Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develops a good understanding of the technical environment and the functional requirements.
  • Based on the analyses, draws up the test strategy for the various developed applications.
  • Works out the test scenarios and test cases for internal ICT tests and end-to-end tests with users.
  • Prepares the data and executes the functional and non-functional tests.
  • Coordinates and supports the acceptance tests and guides the users in this process.
  • Creates regression tests to efficiently and quickly detect software problems.
  • Has a good understanding of software test automation and automates tests independently, or works together with other team members to set this up.
  • Documents automated test procedures (principles, tools, and methodology).
  • Analyzes, documents, and reports test results efficiently to the business analysts and developers.
  • Follows up corrections with the involved parties.

Required experience and competencies

Experience as a test analyst (minimum 5 years)

Work schedule:

Workweek: Monday to Friday – average 8 hours, of which 2 days per week physically present at the office. The other 3 days can be worked remotely.

Technical assets:

  • ISTQB certification is an asset.
  • Experience with Playwright or a similar tool is an asset.
