De Lijn is looking for an experienced Test Manager SAP

• Higher education (Master’s or Bachelor’s) with a technical/engineering background or equivalent through experience.
• Demonstrable experience in technical environments relevant to the projects.
• Communication and customer-oriented, preferably demonstrated through preparation/training.
• At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure projects or development projects
• of which at least 5 years of experience leading and managing projects with total budgets of minimum 1000 K EUR.
• Ability to oversee multiple individual projects, and steer and optimize the content-related connections between the various projects.
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2
• Ability to use project management techniques and tools (risk management, issue management, …)
• Knowledge of MS Project, MS Office (such as PowerPoint, Excel, …).
• Knowledge of ITIL.
• Very good knowledge of the terminology, organization, roles, and processes of the PM methodology (e.g., Prince-2, PMI, PMBOK, …), preferably demonstrated by certification. Able to transfer expert knowledge in this domain.

Context/Requirements

De Lijn is looking for an experienced end-to-end Test Manager SAP to successfully guide the entire testing process for the implementation of the sub-tracks within the ERP program. This Test Manager is responsible for defining the test strategy to be followed and ensuring its successful execution.

The tests include:

• technical & functional integration tests,
• functional system tests,
• non-functional tests (performance/load/recovery/…),
• functional end-to-end tests,
• regression tests,
• migration tests,
• user acceptance tests (UAT).

Responsibilities

• Identifying business stakeholders, ICT stakeholders, key users, … of the new software package and its peripheral systems and integration lines.
• Aligning quality expectations with all stakeholders.
• Identifying project and product risks.
• Defining the test approach/strategy and aligning it with all relevant stakeholders.
• Determining and monitoring the test strategy and test approach and documenting these in the Master Test Plan.
• Identifying and estimating the different test phases and test types, and the required resources, both on the business and ICT side.
• Creating a realistic test schedule, taking into account the supplier’s planning, interface systems, resource availability, and other dependencies/constraints.
• Planning and (having) the test environments and test data set up.
• Coaching and guiding (business) testers during test preparation.
• Organizing and coordinating the test execution, for both ICT and business tests.
• Managing and following up on identified defects, and reporting on status and solutions.
• Preparing clear test reporting:
• Drafting a final test report as the basis for a GO/NO GO decision
• Drafting a progress report regarding the test activities for project management
• Reporting project and product risks
• Informing project stakeholders about test progress, test status, residual risks and advising regarding the go-live.

Technical context

• You have an affinity with functional and non-functional testing (performance/load, security, fail-over).
• You are able to capture and understand technical and business dependencies between ICT systems.
• You have experience with common tracking and reporting tools (MS-Project, JIRA, Test Management, MS-Excel).
• Experience with financial, HR and logistics SAP modules is an asset.
• Experience with end-to-end testing with SAP and middleware.
