Context

The services to be provided will primarily be for the Target V2 project. Depending on the workload, however, the provider may be temporarily assigned to other projects.

Solution Description

Development of a new web application "Target 2", written in Java/Javascript, intended for DGH agents, particularly hydrographers, to replace an obsolete "Target 1" application.

Among other things, the following need to be developed:

  • Interactions via webservice with a business computation engine written in Python;
  • Interactions via a Denodo Datahup with data stored outside of the application;
  • Interactions with a PostgreSQL DB for application-specific stored data;
  • User-friendly and secure user interface, including graphical components.

Objectives

  • Develop a modern, secure, robust, and sustainable application that enables calculation, saving, updating, and visualization of rating curves associated with measurement stations in the Walloon hydrological network.
  • Provide an intuitive, user-friendly, and well-documented interface to facilitate use of the application.
  • Ensure interfacing of the application with existing databases and exchange channels within the DGH, necessary for its proper functioning.
  • Implement a battery of tests, as automated as possible, to validate the solution during implementation and for any potential future versions.
  • Establish sustainable maintenance of the tool, covering both back-end and front-end aspects.
