Within the Transport Solutions department, you guarantee the stability of the production systems by being responsible for the management and implementation of a number of releases (planning, quality control, communication):

• Organizing and planning the releases and the maintenance of the systems (release & maintenance slots)
• Determining the content of the releases based on the priorities of the business and the available resources within the department
• Identifying the risks, the impact (technical and business), and the interdependencies of all requests in collaboration with the release coordinators and/or team leads
• Informing the Change managers, the internal Client, and the other Release managers
• Presenting each release to the Change Advisory Board for approval before implementation
• Verifying the existence of the “deliverables” during the release (test results, release installation procedure, risks and impact analysis, operational documentation, etc.)
• Being responsible for communication during the key moments of the release (planning, procedure, implementation) within the IS department and towards the business
• Ensuring the necessary adjustments of the Configuration Items in the CMDB when required
• Organizing the “lessons-learned” meetings after each major release and formulating recommendations for improvement if necessary
• Assisting the Release Process Owner if needed
• Being responsible for the follow-up of the best practices of the release management procedures within the department and making all stakeholders aware of their importance
