Project

DECOM aims to reduce mainframe dependency by migrating BNG, BCE (KBO), and other police data to a modern open architecture. This migration will make these data more easily accessible to applications such as PoliceSearch, analytics solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), and ILP (Intelligence-Led Policing).

Mission

Participation in the development and evolution of applications, APIs, and web services as part of the DECOM program, aiming to migrate police data to a modern open architecture and gradually reduce mainframe dependency.

The mission includes technical analysis, design, and development of data exchange services and REST APIs enabling the integration of various police applications. It also covers the adaptation and enhancement of strategic solutions such as PoliceSearch and PolLogs, as well as the integration of new features related to data analysis, artificial intelligence, and Intelligence-Led Policing (ILP).

Development of application components in PHP, Python, and JavaScript, participation in defining the technical architecture, and collaboration with development teams to ensure high-performance, secure, and interoperable solutions serving the operational needs of the integrated Police.

Practical information

Work regime: Full time (40h/week)

Workplace: rue Royale 202A 1000 Brussels

Working conditions: Presence at the office at least 2 times per week depending on tasks and in agreement with the team, telework allowed from home or at the employer's premises (in Belgium)
