Work Environment: Research and Negotiated Police
You will work in a dynamic and innovative department of the federal government, which promotes the use of recent and innovative processes such as Agile, Artificial Intelligence, Azure Cloud, and DEVOPS in its projects. More specifically, you will work within the Research and Negotiated Police service of the IT department of the Federal Police, which is responsible for the development of applications for the judicial police, applications related to public order and health, the processing of judicial reports, and other matters related to the Judicial Police and public order.
You will join a team that is curious about new technologies and ready to test new development methods, but you will also have the task of maintaining and evolving existing applications.

What will your tasks be?
In the context of the new Penal Code which will become effective in 2026, you will be responsible for the development of a very important webservice to calculate, based on data entry from different applications, the classification of an offense.
Your mission
- Design, develop, and test the webservice based on preliminary functional and technical analyses;
- Ensure the monitoring and quality development of multi-user, high-availability, and high-visibility applications;
- Provide technical advice in your specific area of expertise while proposing possible adaptations to projects;
- Analyze user needs;
- Write technical documentation;
- Provide adequate technical support for the webservice;
- Offer assistance/coaching to your colleagues;
- Work on the entire development cycle.

Your skills
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience;
- Be French-speaking or Dutch-speaking and willing to work in a multilingual environment (French, Dutch, English);
