Hiring a Senior Windows System Administrator for the ICT Service of the Agency for Agriculture and Fisheries

Context/Requirements

The senior Windows System Administrator is part of the Windows Server Team and assists in carrying out the tasks for which the team is responsible.

A non-exhaustive list of the tasks includes:

• Monitoring and resolving 2nd and 3rd line incidents
• Carrying out minor implementation requests related to the provided Services
• Executing line-of-Business releases on Application Servers
• Performing maintenance on the Citrix XenDesktop Servers / Remote Desktop Session Hosts
• General maintenance and monitoring of the Windows Server environment

The proposed candidates must meet at least the competencies listed below. These are shown in order of importance. This must be evident from the candidate’s CV. Candidates who do not meet these minimum requirements will not be invited for an interview.

Technical competencies

• Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (5 years) with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies
• Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (5 years) with Windows Server 2012 or higher
• Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (5 years) with Windows Infrastructure Services (DHCP, DNS, PXE) & Windows Firewalling technology
• Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (2 years) with Microsoft 365 technologies (Exchange Online, Teams, Authentication)

Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is considered a plus:

It is for the benefit of the IT Operations service within the Digitalization and Organization department that the Agency for Agriculture and Fisheries wishes to hire 1 senior Windows System Administrator.

This IT Operations service is responsible for bringing into production and maintaining the complete IT infrastructure, both in terms of software and hardware.
